Fresh deli sandwiches never get old. Ever! So this Turkey BLT Sandwich has been our go-to lunch lately. Its quick, simple, and packed with flavor + a nice sturdy texture.
The bulk of this sandwich is obviously a couple slices of thick grainy bread topped with (nitrate-free) deli meat. We used oven roasted turkey for this particular sandwich, but you could use anything you like!
Next up, we added the B(bacon) L(lettuce) and T(tomato). Plus a little O (onion) and M (mayo). Except wait! We didn’t actually use mayo. We actually mixed together a little bit of honey Dijon mustard + plain Greek yogurt for a healthy burst of flavor.
And that’s how you make the most perfect Turkey BLT Sandwich. Hope you Enjoy! =)
- 2 slices of whole grain bread (we used Ezekiel)
- 4-6 slices of nitrate-free deli meat (We like Applegate products)
- Toppings of choice: lettuce, tomato, onion, bacon, mayo, etc.
- Place one slice of bread on a plate. Top with deli meat and toppings of choice. Place the other slice of bread on top then slice down the middle. Serve immediately or pack for later.
